Week Beginning - Monday 9th March 2009
The first charity that I have chosen to highlight is the charity Water Aid (http://www.wateraid.org/uk/). The charity says 'WaterAid is an international charity. Our mission is to overcome poverty by enabling the world's poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education.' I believe that water is one of, if not the most, important thing that we can give to people in order to help them live a better life. Living in Scotland, we have our fair share of water and I think that most people take it for granted, but what we don't even think about is something that could completely change the lives of millions of people across the world.

My dad regurlarly donates money to WaterAid, profits made from an honesty box tuck shop that he runs at his work. It makes me feel proud that my dad is regularly giving to a charity that can make such a huge difference in the world. So please help the millions of people in the world who are forced to live in poverty due to their lack of clean water by donating to WaterAid, remember, a little goes far.
